Your cargo, our expertise!
Marine and cargo surveys
Preloading surveys
Ensuring the safe transportation of steel cargoes begins long before the vessel sets sail. Our preloading surveys provide a critical assessment of the cargo condition prior to sailing. This ensures that Mate’s Receipts and/ or Bills of Lading are appropriately claused and that pre-existing damage is identified and not later claimed against the vessel.
Steel products are highly susceptible to damage from improper handling, inadequate dunnage and exposure to moisture. Even minor defects can lead to costly claims, delays, or disputes between parties involved.

Vessel on and off hire surveys
When chartering a vessel, a thorough inspection is crucial to accurately document existing damages to the vessel's holds, deck space and handling equipment and identify any recent damage from the last charter period upon redelivery. We conduct independent and precise surveys to objectively assess the vessel's condition.
Furthermore the quantity of bunkers on board the vessel are carefully measured and calculated upon commencement or finish of the charter period.
This ensures transparency and minimizes disputes between owners and charterers. Our expertise and detailed reports provide a reliable foundation for a smooth and fair charter process.

Loading surveys
We offer expert supervision during cargo loading to ensure that various types of goods are properly loaded, well-positioned within the vessel’s holds and securely lashed. Our service focuses on safe handling and high-standard securing methods to minimize the risk of damage during transit.
By closely monitoring each step of the loading process, we help ensure full compliance with maritime regulations and protect the interests of owners, charterers, and cargo stakeholders.

Hatch cover inspections
We conduct thorough visual inspections of hatch covers to assess their condition and integrity. Our services also include water hose tests and ultrasonic tightness testing to detect potential leak points and ensure weathertightness.
These inspections help prevent water ingress, cargo damage, and disputes, ensuring your vessel remains compliant with international standards and ready for safe operations.

Bunker quantity surveys
We perform independent bunker surveys during fuel deliveries to seagoing vessels. Our service includes accurate measurement of fuel quantities before and after delivery, verification of documentation, and detection of discrepancies or potential losses.
This ensures transparency, protects the interests of owners and charterers, and supports compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Outturn surveys
We carry out independent outturn surveys focused primarily on steel cargoes. These inspections are performed at the time of discharge to verify the condition and quantity of the cargo as delivered, compared to loading records.
We also investigate any visible or suspected damage occurring before, during, or after discharge. Our detailed assessments help determine the cause and extent of damage, providing clear documentation to support claims handling and liability determination.

Heavy lift cargo
We provide expert consultancy in the securing of heavy and oversized cargo on general cargo vessels and container ships. Our work focuses on ensuring that all cargo is properly stowed and secured in accordance with international maritime regulations and best practices. By combining technical knowledge with practical experience, we help clients reduce risks during sea transport and ensure safe, stable, and compliant cargo operations from start to finish.

Tally surveys
We perform independent tally surveys to accurately count and record cargo units during loading or discharge operations. This service helps verify that the quantity of cargo handled matches shipping documents, minimizing discrepancies and potential claims.
Our presence ensures transparency, accountability, and smooth coordination between stevedores, ship personnel, and cargo interests .

Hold (cleanliness) inspections
A detailed inspection of cargo holds to verify their suitability for the intended cargo. We assess cleanliness levels, structural condition, and the presence of residues or contaminants, ensuring compliance with charter party requirements and international standards. This critical step helps avoid cargo rejection, delays, and costly disputes.

Container & containerized goods
Container damage
As experienced marine surveyors, we provide independent inspections of sea containers that have sustained damage during transport, loading or handling. Whether due to improper stowage, shifting cargo, or rough treatment on the quay, container damage can lead to serious claims and operational delays.
We offer detailed assessments and clear, unbiased reports to support claims handling, loss prevention, and liability determination. Our inspections cover structural damage, cargo impact, and compliance with international shipping standards.

Containerized goods
As an experienced marine surveyor now operating independently, I specialize in inspecting cargo stowed in sea containers that may have suffered damage due to various circumstances. These include rough handling, shifting during transit, water ingress, improper stowage, or other unforeseen events.
Our surveys focus on identifying the nature, extent, and likely cause of cargo damage, providing clear and objective reports that support claims handling, risk assessment, and corrective action..

Perishables
We also specialize in the inspection and assessment of perishable cargo transported in refrigerated (reefer) containers. These sensitive shipments can suffer damage due to a wide range of factors, including temperature deviations, improper stowage, equipment failure, delays, or handling issues.
We conduct thorough investigations to determine the extent, nature, and probable cause of the damage. Our detailed, impartial reports are tailored to support insurance claims, loss prevention, and liability assessments.
